Art & Culture Ryan McGinley's Moonmilk
Back in September of 2003, The FADER published a feature story on Ryan McGinley, the same year he became the youngest artist to ever receive a solo show at the Whitney Museum of American Art. The story included many of the photos from his first book, The Kids Are Alright, that made him famous and a favorite of ours. He was 26. About an hour ago, McGinley once again shredded our blasé brainstems with his Moonmilk series, in which he took a bunch of stripped kids spelunking across the country. Big deal, you say? Well you try to make a naked dude in a cave look like he’s punching the sun in the face and see how it comes out. Art & Culture Khalif Kelly's Hyper Colors
29-year-old native Nashvillian, Khalif Kelly, has a solo show at Thierry Goldberg Projects in New York on September 9th but is currently restructuring our childhood memories with his weirdly comforting, intensely colorful depictions of things we did daily like chill at fast food playgrounds, play crappily animated video games and build mid-size megalopolises out of Playmobil people. It’s unclear which, if any, of the paintings above and after the jump will be in the exhibition, but judging by his work over the last two years, it will be awesome regardless. Plus, we’re just going to print these out and tape them to the wall anyway. (via We Love You So)

Rihanna Vogue Magazine
Rihanna in Italia's Vogue Magazine for September 2009. Little Miss Sunshine brings the haute couture hotness to the Grace Jones-style photo-shoot. I’ve always said Rihanna could indulge a professional career in high fashion modeling. No doubt, this young woman has it all. I know ALL spreads are photoshopped but this one is literally caked. Her complexion has been darkened and they added more definition to her legs. They’ve also disintegrated some of her curves. Overall, I’m loving the concept.

I just saw this documentary on "Iron" Mike Tyson's life and it is a fascinating, emotional, and frank confessional from Iron Mike that sheds a sympathetic light on one of boxing's most controversial icons. It is brutally honest, Tyson offers one perspective on the life of the boxer – his own. This intimate look is enough to carry the film through its fascinating portrait of the fallen hero. I suggest if you have the time this is a must see film.

Kanye's LV Kicks
Earlier this month, Kanye showed off a black pair of his new sneakers with his lady-friend Amber Rose in the ad that he also designed with Louis Vuiton. Onlookers say with the beautiful Amber Rose in the picture it is absolutely an eye catcher, and Kanye's shoes don't look bad at all either. The entire shoe line will be available at LV stores in June.
Andre 3000's Style
Andre 3000 is the world's best-dressed man, according to Esquire magazine.
"He's a complete individual," Nick Sullivan, Esquire's fashion director, said. "But that's really the point."
"He's probably worn his most outrageous when he's in a video or on stage," said Sullivan, who said Esquire's list is more about personal style than a celebrity's stylist's style. "What we photographed him in is very much what he wanted to wear."
Sources of his fashion inspiration include clothes from period flicks such as Legends of the Fall and The Great Gatsby and the "old men" in his neighborhood.
"They're kind of like a uniform, which I've always been into," he says in the magazine's September issue.

Rihanna is wearing the Pyramid Stud sunglasses in Jay-Z’s music video. The sunglasses are entirely covered in hand-painted pyramid studs, that have been slightly distressed. Since we know the question will come up – yes, you can actually perfectly see through them. You will be able to purchase the sunglasses from October, when not only a black, but also silver and gold colorways will be coming out. The sunglasses can be pre-ordered for 350 USD.
Kerin Rose set up a-morir a little under a year ago. The designer is best known for her sunglasses, which are all made by hand in her workshop. To date she has made sunglasses for Rihanna, Katy Perry, Mariah Carey, Cassie, as well as Mickey Factz.
